Steve Pipe is a Chartered Accountant who is passionate about the profession.

After spending eight years with KPMG he set up his own small accounting practice - Stephens & Co - from a spare bedroom at home. That practice has been so successful that it has won 15 major business awards - while Steve himself is a former national Accountancy Age Entrepreneur of the Year.

While building Stephens & Co he also wrote over 150 training videos, the eight part BBC TV series Easy Money and the book 101 ways to make more profits (which is now available in 14 languages around the world).

In 1996 he was the editorial adviser for the ICAEW’s ground-breaking Added value professionals: chartered accountants in the year 2005 - which predicted that there will soon be too many accountants chasing too little work unless we all start adding more value than ever before.

He now specialises in helping accountants rise to the challenge of adding value by:

• Lecturing to accountants and their clients across the UK and Europe – where he has become one of the UK’s most in-demand business speakers, having shared platforms with E-myth author Michael Gerber, the UK’s leading personal development gurus Peter Thomson and Steve McDermott, success author Andy Gilbert, pricing specialist John Winkler, international marketing guru Drayton Bird, world athletics champions Kriss Akabussi and Roger Black, world memory champion Dominic O’Brien, memory world record holder Dave Thomas and horse whisperer Kelly Marks.

• Creating and presenting the Accountants Masterclass

• Founding and chairing the UK’s largest and fastest growing network of independent accountants – AVN

In February 2001 his business, Added Value Solutions, was named by Cranfield School of Management as one of the 100 most visionary organisations in the UK – and is still the only representative of the accountancy profession ever to make it into their prestigious Vision 100 Index.
